Sailing Course

Come sail on a high-performance, comfortable sailboat in the magnificent setting of the Cyclades archipelago to discover sailing or improve your navigation skills.

During this week of total immersion, you will develop your sailing skills. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced sailor, our skippers adapt to everyone’s level.

You will also enjoy life on board and the stunning Cycladic landscapes. Each island offers numerous anchorages, as varied as they are charming, where you can swim in crystal-clear waters and, in the evening, discover local cuisine in typical Greek tavernas.

*Objectives: To sail, gain experience and/or put theoretical knowledge into practice, and enjoy life on board, swimming, and tavernas.

*Program: Sailing in all types of conditions, reefing, tacking, gybing, spinnaker sailing, chart work, knots, etc. Also included are anchorages, swimming, and Greek tavernas.

*Sailing Itinerary: The week’s itinerary is discussed with the crew and decided by the skipper based on the weather. We explore one island per day, except in rare cases when the weather doesn’t permit. Sailing time: 5 to 6 hours/day. Approximately 200 miles/week.

*Requirements: Interest in sailing and good physical condition. The Aegean Sea is demanding, and weather conditions from July to September can be intense. The course is therefore very educational but doesn’t require any particular skill level, just enthusiasm!

*Organization: Boarding on Saturday at 5:00 PM – Disembarkation the following Saturday at 9:00 AM, at the port of Finikas, on the island of Syros (84100).

On Saturday, upon arrival, you will be welcomed, introduced to the sailboat, and meet the other participants. The week’s activities will be organized according to each person’s skill level and the weather forecast. Provisioning will be provided, followed by dinner in a taverna in the evening. Departure is on Sunday morning.

Return to Finikas the following Friday afternoon, cleaning of the sailboat, debriefing at 6:00 PM, free evening.

*Price: €980 per person per week for a shared double cabin.

For an entire cabin, add 70% of the price.

Food, fuel, and port fees are not included. €300 onboard kitty

Skipper’s meals to be provided by the crew

*Validation of nautical miles for the Swiss boating license

Skipper: Sylvain Pellet or Nicolas Vagher
